Hollywire tracked down Micheal Copon at a restaurant and this is what he had to say about the movie casting in 'New Moon'
Heres Taylor Lautner explaining that its all a misunderstanding, he's meeting up with Chris Weitz for lunch to discuss his role.
This is what he had to say to MTV:
“I’ve heard a few things,” he said of Copon. “I don’t really know too much to comment on it. As far as I know, I haven’t been told ‘no’ yet, so it’s still all up in the air.”
“I have been working out. I’ve been working out since the day we finished filming ‘Twilight.’ I just weighed myself today; I’ve put on 19 pounds,” the noticeably larger Lautner told us, promising that he’ll be big enough to fit Stephenie Meyer’s physical description of Jacob Black in “New Moon” when cameras begin rolling in 12 weeks. “I’m guaranteeing Weitz 10 more [pounds] by filming.”

November 20th, 2009 release date for New Moon is now official!! so keep a look out next year.

New Moon Announced Movie and Cast
I know this maybe old but who cares ? Lol Summit has now announced their newest director Chris Weitz for the upcoming blockbuster hit and sequel to the movie 'Twilight' will be 'New Moon'
Shooting will start Next Year March 2009 and the release date will likely be at the end of 2009 or early Jan of 2010.
Taylor Lautner's loyal fans signing online petition to keep their favourite actor in the sequel, he will probably most likely be replaced, director Chris Weitz is considering numerous actors such as Micheal Copon and Ben Barnes for the replacements, although Barnes role will be considered for Aro. None has been officially confirmed.. so there still maybe a chance for taylor after all?...
